Come...
Come. Come disrupt this world of earrings matched to shoes, of color coded files, measured spoons and ruled lines. Come bringing with you chaos, unbalance and untested theory.
Come like water, rejuvenating this throat parched with sense and sensibility. Come like star dust, sprinkling madness; signalling the return of a normalcy that never was.
Come be my tree that grows crooked, my car that speeds past the limits, my rich decadent indulgence. Come feel this heart beating, this soul aching to be freed of the accepted and expected.
Come be my Picasso, painting with unconventional brush strokes and irrational paint splatter. Paint rage, paint desire, paint animalistic, paint soft.
Come, and this time I promise to not seek immediate definition. Come and this time I will let heart roll out of tongue without pre-thought or post-fear.
Come like rain, quenching this burning; this desire so counterintuitive yet as natural as dessert sand. Come and grease this mechanical heart.
Come like hunger,
Come like fire,
Come, and
...stay...

WOW!!!! THIS IS THE MOST AMAZING PIECE I AV READ IN A LONG TIME.
big up!!!
wow...that was beautiful NDQ!
Wow, that was really good.
Hmmmm...Such passion.
*Sigh*
I am silenced by my own thoughts...
thank you...do you have any question or anything that you want be to blog about just to start me off, because right now i cant seem to start and end something
The pic...
The one in the middle looks like a babe in an outfit that needs to be burnt and the one at her side looks like a nun touching the middle one's boobs...
anyone else see it????
Wow! That had a peaceful and calming effect! Well written.
Be free and be ready for true love.
Please why blue grease???
I say its a beautiful cubist painting of people playing instruments.....possible black folks...you know how Picasso loves African people..lol thats assuming Picasso is the painter..
Beautiful. This is a reflection of the talent in you. Please paint on with magnificent brushstrokes. Beware of fire though, it is all consuming until spent.
I feel proud and honored for the privilege of access to your creativity.
@Jarrai: Glad there was clearity mamacita! Have a good weekend and try to stay out of trouble this time *wink wink
@Miz-cynic: Hmmm I don't even know what I'm ready for...im just ready for something..something non-mundane, whatever it is!
@Kopearl: Awww thank you boo! Truly apptreciate it.
@Buttercup: *Blushing* Muchas gracias
@Sting: I know your not a big fan of poetry, so coming from you- I truly appreciate that.
@Naijalines: Please dont be silenced by your thoughts! Share them!lol
@Afrobabe: Your soo crazy chica. I wonder what Picasso would think of your interpretation, lmao! After your comment, I went back and looked at it and I actually see what your saying!
@Rita: "Be free and Be ready"-that's what I'm trying to do...with life, love and all it's possibilities. About the blue grease, lol. Here's the explanation: I once read a commercial for Castrol Pyroplex Blue grease, and it is supposedly meant to maintain mobility while building tack/adhesion or when faced with water contamination.
And blue, simply because it is a period of Picasso's work that my friends and I explored, disliked, but im now reconsidering in retrospect. Weird, I know!
@Femi B: My beautiful favorite feminist! Yup it's Picasso's "Three Musicians" from his Cubist phase. He really did like him some Africans!
@Naapali: I will continue to paint, and to see what these brushstrokes reveal. I will also be sure to extinguish the fire before it is spent-I think unfulfilled flames are the most exciting, they leave you yearning for more...Thank you Doc. It is an honor and privilege to have both your praise and criticism...
@NDQ: Thanks for the explanation (sigh of relief!) I was wondering if yellow-orange oil won't be good enough.
Haha, if anyone would have asked, it would have been th engineer!
You changed ur name right? Oh maybe I'm just confused. I could have sworn I went to NDQ's page and it was down!
would you look at that, my black momma wears the hat of a poet among many others.
